E. Africa gets Shs10bn for fishing

The European Commission has donated 3 million Euros (about Shs10.2 billion) for implementation of about 32 national and regional fisheries projects in Eastern Africa. The projects, 11 of which will be completed by May this year, are geared to achieving sustainable and equitable management of the fisheries industry in Africa, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries. The projects are being implemented under the ACP Fish II programme.
