Expert warns of bank crisis

The many new products being introduced by commercial banks could plunge the banking industry into crisis, the central bank has warned. Louis Kasekende, the deputy governor of the Bank of Uganda told an international conference of central bank managers from African countries in Kampala that the central bank lacked the capacity to regulate the many new products being introduced by commercial banks.
