Kiprotich to lead Uganda’s assault

Olympic Games 2000m steeplechase bronze medalist Zachariah Kiprotich will lead the country’s assault at the East African youth championship due in Asmara, Eritrea, later this month. The local athletics federation UAF has named a team of four runners for the April 29-30 event.

The national side was picked on the basis of individuals’ past performances in both national and international championships. Two national trials have since been held at the Mandela Stadium
