Tempers flared and the opposition stormed out of the House but that was not enough to prevent ruling party lawmakers from playing to the piper’s tune. A one-sided House voted yesterday to approve a whopping Shs1.5 trillion supplementary budget for the purchase of fighter jets and President Museveni’s scheduled May 12 swearing-in ceremony, among other items.
Museveni’s inauguration was allocated Shs2.8 billion, while some Shs1.3 trillion
