Opposition should pursue dialogue not violence

The office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Uganda and a democracy pressure group recently called on Government, political opposition and civil society to find a negotiated end to the ongoing unrest over the rising inflation. The “walk to work” campaign by the opposition is turning out to be very nasty. It is causing suffering, loss of live and property of innocent Ugandans. Hundreds were left seriously injured and dumped in prison.
