Police can work with Opposition

Walking to work in protest at the recent fuel price increases is perfectly legitimate and constitutional as long as it’s kept peaceful. And this is what should have happened when opposition leaders Kizza Besigye, Norbert Mao, Betty Nambooze, Wafula Oguttu and Nandala Mafabi, among others, chose to walk to work yesterday. It was hugely counterproductive for police to try to muscle them off the streets.
