Ushs2.8bn for swearing-in ceremony amidst a cash-constrained economy!

The media is awash with reports on the President’s swearing in ceremony that is estimated to cost shs.2.8 billion down from the initial shs.4 billion that was rejected by Parliament. Despite the cut, the cost is still exorbitant with more room for adjustment given the biting inflation that is threatening mass protests in the country.
