Drivers threaten to strike over Utoda charges

Mukono - Taxi drivers operating in the municipality have threatened to go on strike, protesting the huge sums of money imposed on them for ‘welfare’.
The drivers, who presented their petitioned to the Mukono Municipality Member of Parliament Betty Nambooze Bakireke last week, accused Utoda operatives in Mukono municipality of exploiting them through the ‘welfare’ levy that oscillates between Shs. 12,000 and Shs15, 000 daily.
