Journalists get peanuts

Arua - Journalists working for radio stations in the West Nile region earn as little as Shs500 (US$0.25) per story. According to a survey carried out in the region, the little pay forces journalists to concentrate on ‘public relations stories’ that are paid for by politicians and businessmen who get coverage.
