Medic remanded for soliciting bribe

Fort Portal - A Radiographer at the referral hospital has been remanded to Katojo government prison after soliciting a Shs15, 000 bribe from a patient. Shafik Higenyi, 28, a resident of Kicwamba Sub County in Kabarole district allegedly asked Benon Twinomujuni, a 51-year old soldier attached to the army’s Division 2 in Mbarara for the money to carry out an X-ray check.

According to Twinomujuni, he borrowed the money and labelled it before handing it over to Higenyi,
