New report urges big oil contracts for Ugandans

A team commissioned by the government to conduct a study on how the private sector and state agencies can benefit from the oil and gas resource has released a draft report. The report titled “Enhancing Local Content in the Oil and Gas Industry” recommends the need to build capacity through a policy approach known as local content where priority is given to Ugandans and local companies for jobs and contracts in the sector.
