Parliament okays Ssekandi, Mbabazi

Lawmakers were unanimous in their decision yesterday to approve President Museveni’s appointment of former House Speaker Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi as the new Vice President. But his approval did not come without incident. Opposition MPs found time to question the vice president’s record as Speaker and accused him of being biased and playing to the whims of the Executive.
