The 2011 World Blood Donor Day was celebrated under the theme “New blood for the world” The World blood donor day is an annual event celebrated on 14th June and means a lot to human life globally. However, the National Blood Bank must clear allegations that blood donated free by Ugandans is sold highly to patients who are facing death for lack of blood.
This is disturbing to many would be donors, and could be the reason why the Bank has shortages as many people are hesitant to donate
