Forest authority evicts 1,600 people

People living in Mpigi, Gomba and Butambala forest reserves have been given an ultimatum to leave the area shortly after harvesting their crops in December. The ultimatum issued recently by National Forest Authority will affect more than 1,600 people accused of encroaching on these forest reserves.
