Posho prices leave schools, homes stranded

Over the past months food prices have been rising steadily, in fact prices have doubled or even tripled and maize flour has not been exceptional. The price of maize grain last year in June was Shs 140 today the price is Shs 1400 translating into a10% increment which has sent the price of a kilogramme of maize flour that was selling at 800 shillings up to between 2000 to2400 shillings depending on the quality and the market where the shopping is done.
