The links between oil extraction and climate change are well-known to ev­eryone. Now climate ex­perts are already categoriz­ing Uganda as a new major polluter in Africa as works take shape in the Albertine region. Some players in the civil society last week took a swipe at the country’s oil status saying Uganda will join the class of West Africa oil rich nations; therefore there should be deliberate efforts to curb the eminent pollution in light of the raging climate
