Makerere to receive Shs270bn for teaching hospital

Makerere University is set to receive funds worth U$100 million (Shs270 billion) from the Chinese government to fund projects in education and also build a University teaching hospital.

According to the acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Venansius Baryamureeba, the university expects about US$100 million from the government of china to be channeled through government to improve the education sector at the university level.
