Police yesterday nipped in the bud attempts by the opposition to stage a peaceful walk to work places across the city in protest at the alarming rise in food and fuel prices as the economy grapples with double-digit inflation. Across different suburbs in Kampala, the opposition had planned to tap into public bottled-up frustration over the sky-rocketing cost of living through a peaceful march to their workplaces.
