The Uganda Communication Commission-sponsored two-day badminton tournament ended on April 17 at the Kampala Club, leaving a number of youths with cash prizes and trophies. The tournament attracted participation from primary and secondary schools. The girls’ U-10 final showed Bridget Nakasi of Railway primary school beating Amelia Nalumansi 2-0 (21-4, 21-11) to take the trophy while Expedito Emudu of St Peter’s, Nsambya, beat Paul Makande 2-0 in the boys’ same age
