Jinja - “Officer, I am very sorry, please forgive me,” Ronald Lubega said, mistaking Thursday night’s robbers for Uganda Revenue Authority enforcement officers. Lubega, the driver and owner of a truck that was loaded with 12 tonnes of maize worth about Shs10m, said he ‘apologised’ because he thought he had breached anti-smuggling regulations.
But he was wrong; this was a group of thugs dressed in military attire out for a kill. This was at Jinja Central
