NGOs urged to support education

Karamoja - Neglecting education is a costly affair, elders in the poverty prone region have learnt. And, speaking recently during a community peace and reconciliatory meeting at Musupu in Rupa Sub county of Moroto district the elders appealed to NGOs, philanthropists and religious leaders to support education in the greater Karamoja region.

They noted that the development partners had neglected education, a factor that had contributed greatly to the rampant illiteracy in the region.
