Uganda climb ladders in Fifa rankings

Uganda has moved seven places to the 77 mark in the latest Fifa rankings released mid-week. The ranking gave Uganda an 18th position on the continental fold led by Cote d’ Ivoire at 14 in the world.

Uganda’s rise comes in the wake of The Cranes’ 2-0 over Guinea Bissau in the Nations Cup 2012 qualifier tie at Namboole. The ranking where Spain maintains the top spot as the world’s footballing country show Tanzania moving 13 places up to take up the 127 position, globally, and follow
