Art firm wants supermarket blocked from using Tuskys

A company dealing in art and crafts has asked the commercial court to stop Tuskys supermarket in Ntinda, Kampala from using its trade mark ‘Tuskys’. Tuskys Uganda is a local company that deals in Art and Craft and conducts its trade mainly on the internet while Tuskys Supermarket in Ntinda is run by a Kenyan company, Tusker Mattresses, which operates a chain of supermarkets.
