The country was thrown into panic and anguish yesterday after a group of motley armed men shot iconic opposition leader Dr Kizza Besigye in the right hand with a rubber bullet. Besigye, whose right hand finger suffered two broken bones, was rushed to Kampala Hospital. He said shortly after the shooting that “I have the comfort of history; they can arrest me or kill me if they want.”
