The proprietor of J&M Airport Road Hotel has won round one of a case filed against her by an Indian businessman, who claimed he supplied building material worth US$11.9 million (Shs28.6 billion) and was never paid. The win followed a decision by registrar John Arutu to decline to refer the case to the Arbitration Court as earlier requested by the Indian businessman, Rahul Modi.
