Cricketer battered to death

Only three months ago cricketer Allan Magambo walked his sweetheart, Florence Namayanja, down the aisle at All Saints Cathedral, Nakasero, Kampala. On Friday he died after being battered by vicious hooligans wielding an iron bar.

Magambo, son of veteran cricketer Sam Katonge, played for King’s College Budo, Wanderers and the Castle Development XI.
He was laid to rest at the weekend at Nsangi, a Kampala suburb. His death follows that of another cricketer, youth coach
