The Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) has secured Shs32 billion for food security and agriculture activities in Uganda for this financial year (2010-2011).
According to the outgoing FAO representative to Uganda, Percy. W. Misika, Shs22.8 billion of this is for emergency and rehabilitation programmes in Northern Uganda and Karamoja while Shs9.4 billion is for regular development programmes.
