Kivejinja says Besigye was not shot

As tempers continue to flare over the controversial walk to work protests, Third Deputy Premier and Minister of Internal Affairs Kirunda Kivenjinja has thrown a spanner in the works by claiming that Dr Kizza Besigye was not shot. Last week on Thursday, Besigye, the FDC president, was injured in a fracas as police were blocking a walk to work demonstration that he and other opposition leaders led in protest at rising fuel and commodity prices.
