Kabarole - James Byamukama, the chairperson of Kyenjojo district has resigned. In a letter dated April 12, Byamukama said that he has vacated the Kyenjojo LC V chairmanship in accordance with the constitutional court ruling that barred members of parliament or local council chairpersons who were elected to office on a party ticket standing as independents.
The letter is addressed to the Speaker of Parliament, the local government minister and the Kyenjojo Chief
