Pirates’ boss attacks coaches

Pirate’s director of rugby Muhammad Issa has urged team managers to stop blaming referees for their losses, advising them instead to concentrate on equipping players with tactics. Issa said that referees were just like any other human beings, and could therefore make mistakes.

“I am always irritated when a Super 8 player is penalised for simple infringements like offside, hands in the ruck, a forward pass and the coach comes up to blame the referees,” said Issa during an interview.
