Police officers named in Mbuya land scandal

Senior police officers and government officials have been accused of trying to grab a three-acre piece of land belonging to a family of Ugandans of Indian origin. Charles Odere, the official care taker of the prime land on plots 135-141 on Zone 9, Mbuya, a Kampala suburb told The Razor that the estate belongs to the Karmali Esmail family. Some members of the family are living in Canada, Scotland and England after they were expelled from Uganda by Idi Amin Dada in 1972.
