Buvuma - District officials have banned the drinking of alcohol on the waters of Lake Victoria. According to the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Apollo Bwebale, the move is aimed at reducing the number of people killed on the lake as a result of drinking alcohol. “Most people fear traveling by water so they drink alcohol to gain confidence but still, they end up drowning,” Bwebale said.
