Cranes’ assistant coach Moses Basena has replaced Zambia’s Patrick Phiri as head coach at Tanzanian top flight side, Simba, on a six-month trial. Basena signed the contract on Thursday last week, becoming the fourth Ugandans to take up a top flight Tanzanian side after George Ssemwogerere, Jackson Mayanja and the magical Sam Timbe.
The former URA tactician could not be reached for a comment. Basena’s first task will be leading Simba into this year’s Kagame Cup
