The appointment of Edward Sekandi as vice president and Amama Mbabazi as prime minister shines a light on one fact – that loyalty to the appointing authority more than anything else played an oversized role in their choices. President Museveni, as The Razor predicted on Tuesday, presented his preferred choices for the two top jobs to the ruling NRM caucus at a session at State House Entebbe just around the same time he announced his choices for VP and PM to the same forum in 2006.
