Malaria leading cause of maternal mortality

Malaria is the leading cause of death among pregnant women, those in labour and breast feeding mothers, statistics show. It affects both mother and child and if one doesn’t access emergency obstetric care, malaria could lead to death. There is the general malaria that spreads as a result of mosquito bites. But there is also malaria which requires all expectant mothers between five and six months of their pregnancy to take fancida tablets.
