With the demise of Premier Cricket Club, who completed a dominant clean sweep of all men’s domestic cricket competitions last season, having been confirmed as official, local clubs have broken the bank to woo club-less stars. “Premier cannot compete this season. Even if we got the finances, it is hard for us to get the right crop of players to defend the trophies we won,” said former Premier star batsman and chairman Nehal Bidodi.
