Return unspent swearing-in money, opposition demands

Tororo County MP Geoffrey Ekanya has demanded the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) return money accounted for as expenses for guests and dignitaries invited to tomorrow’s swearing-in-ceremony of President Yoweri Museveni. The outspoken Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) lawmaker said this week that the opposition had learned that, of the 33 heads of state asked to the function, only seven had written back saying they would be there.
