Namibia fail to queer Uganda’s pitch

Desperate efforts by Namibia to get the African Premier League cricket finals moved from Uganda have failed. Despite the manipulative skills of Namibian chairman Laurie Pieters, the International Cricket Council (ICC) have come down in favour of Uganda staging the Africa Cricket Association (ACA)-run Twenty20 contest in Kampala from July 8-13.

Most of the games will take place at Lugogo and Kyambogo ovals, but there should also be a slot for Entebbe, where the renovated pavilion will be on
