Over 90 players are expected to take part in the National Junior Under-20s chess championships slated for May 14-15 at Hotel Africana.
“We expect about 100 junior players, most of whom participated in the recently concluded Fr Grimes championship,” said Christopher Turyahabwe, UCF general secretary. “This used to be a significant event on our calendar and we are reviving it after a two-year lull.” The event was last staged in 2008.
