The Resident District Commissioner Livingstone Katenda Luutu has told workers in the private sector to desist from strikes and engender dialogue. The RDC’s warning follows a scuttled strike by workers of Kengrow Industries Ltd in Jinja, over poor pay and poor working conditions. The strike that was foiled by management and the police came just three days after another one by workers of Kakira Sugar Works Ltd, also complaining about similar problems. Katenda
