Two men, who have allegedly spent nine years without trial, have dragged the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Richard Buteera to Court over failure to prosecute them. Grace Barihaihi and Fred Biryomumaiso, who are jointly charged with treason, want High Court to quash the criminal proceedings against them because it appears the DPP has no interest in the case.
They claim that they were arrested and charged before Buganda Road Court in 2002 and they were released on bail on May 9,
