Although the Middle East and North Africa accounted for most of MTN Group’s increase in customers last year, the Uganda operation remains one of its strongest performing markets, a senior official has said. MTN Uganda saw its subscriber base rise by 6.9 per cent to reach 6.9 million, helping the South African-owned company to maintain its leadership position in an increasingly competitive market.
