Maize thief killed

Mukono - An unidentified man who attempted to steal maize was killed by residents of Kiwanga village in Goma sub county.
According to eyewitnesses, the man was caught red-handed cutting maize cobs and the residents cut his neck with a panga.
Two of his colleagues escaped and area residents said some unscrupulous people had persistently stolen their crops.
The officer in charge of Kiwanga police post confirmed the killing but warned people against mob justice.
