Ugandans cannot afford milk

Gone are the days when everybody would afford to take milk. The drought that hit the country early this year saw prices doubling and high transport costs have maintained the milk price in the upper end. Market players predict milk prices will remain high unless transport costs come down. Even the longer wet season that begins August to November may not change the prices if the transport factor is not addressed.
