Prices of some essential drugs on the market have dropped drastically, some by 40 per cent after main manufacturers announced price cuts. A survey done by The Razor in some pharmaceuticals in the city indicates. The wholesale price of a dose of Coartem which used to cost Ugshs6000 a month ago has dropped to Ugshs1500.
“We can now sell a dose of Coartem at Ugshs2000. It used to be very expensive because it was only the government importing it, but now even a lay person can afford a dose”,
