The East African Community (EAC) is inching closer to starting a commodity exchange market that could make the region a trade hub. When established the exchange could also help in addressing price manipulation, experts say are common in developing countries. A statement from the EAC secretariat says the bloc has started negotiations with Nicolas Berggruen Institute to help in establishing the commodity market.
