Let the Vendors be

The prospect of Kampala City Council Authority getting vendors off our streets became a real possibility last week when many were chased from road reserves and other illegal market areas.

The crackdown targeted vendors plying their trade along the railway line near Mukwano Roundabout, Clock Tower and Namirembe Road. Surprisingly however, after eviction, some vendors returned to the same areas and it was business as usual.
