Medic, arrested over drug theft

KAMPALA - It seems President Yoweri Museveni’s determination to weed out drug thieves from government facilities is a tall order, with reports indicating that the offence is rampant.

And, on July 19 police in Nakasongola arrested Grace Kayise, a clinical officer at Nakitoma Health Centre III, Phiona Atukunda, a storekeeper at the health centre and John Kayira, a veterinary officer, for allegedly stealing government drugs.
