Anywar, six others recognised for community development

The United States government has recognised seven Ugandan women for their outstanding role in changing their communities for the better. The ‘Ugandan Women of Courage’ award recognises efforts of grassroots and professional women who contribute to the development of their communities despite seemingly insurmountable odds. The women are Beatrice Ayuru Byaruhanga, Jesca Anyango Were, Prudence Komujinya, Elizabeth Nkonji, Lydia Kantono, Betty Tibaleka and Beatrice
