Clergy warn of more bloodshed in city demos

As Police prepares to stop the walk-to-work protests today, religious leaders under their umbrella body, the Uganda Joint Christian Council have warned that unless the government negotiates with the public, there is likely to be more bloodshed in Kampala during such demonstrations.

In statement read by Metropolitan Jonah Lwanga on behalf of the Catholic, Orthodox and Church of Uganda, the cleric condemned the excessive use of force by police to quell the walk-to-work
